Thomas & Associates has extensive experience conducting investigations for labor unions and corporations. These investigations have involved allegations of financial fraud, pension fund misfeasance, organized crime association, and labor law violations.

Labor: Bob Thomas is part of a special internal prosecutorial team at the Laborers' International Union of North America ("LIUNA") in which he investigates and prosecutes racketeering cases throughout the country before an Independent Hearing Officer. This work is conducted pursuant to a consent decree negotiated in 1995 between the U.S. Department of Justice and LIUNA. This internal reform process has resulted in numerous expulsions of organized crime figures and in promotion of more democratic practices.

Corporate: Thomas & Associates has also been retained to conduct internal inquiries on behalf of banks and small companies. Often, counsel for an institution will determine that outside, objective advice—and investigatory expertise—are valuable in getting to the root of a problem and providing objective findings independent of the advice to the client.
